Anonymous Persistence
Estimated date of completion. post mainnet (2027)
Persistence deals with going beyond the organic replication model of filesharing and ensuring data can be persisted even when no one is intrinsically interested in storing it. It typically involves cryptoeconomic incentives of some kind, as well mechanisms for assigning data to providers, performing remote auditing, and repair.1 In anonymous persistence, we want to provide such mechanisms in a way that neither providers nor clients can be linked to the data they upload, store, or download.
